Our in-house Full Grooming Course is designed for those who are serious about becoming professional dog groomers.

This isn’t simulated training or slow classroom learning. You’ll train inside a real, busy working salon, grooming real paying customer dogs under the supervision of experienced groomers with over 10 years in the industry.

From day one, you’ll learn exactly how a professional salon operates — working as part of a grooming team, managing workflow, handling customer expectations, and delivering high-quality grooms efficiently and safely.

You’ll be trained in:

• Safe handling and professional restraint

• Bathing, drying and coat preparation

• Clipping and scissoring techniques

• Commercial groom styling basics

• Finishing and presentation

• Time management in a busy salon

• Customer communication and service

• Salon hygiene and professional standards

This course is built to develop confidence, speed and consistency — the qualities that make someone employable as a full groomer.

By the end of your training, you’ll be prepared to step into a paid position as a full groomer, understanding not just how to groom — but how to operate within a professional salon environment. On completion, you will receive a certificate alongside ongoing support from your tutors and a reference from the Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC for your future employer.
