Our in-house Bather & Prepping Course is designed for those who want to break into the grooming industry quickly and confidently.

This is not a classroom course. You’ll train inside a real, busy working salon, learning on real customer dogs under the guidance of experienced groomers with over 10 years in the industry.

You’ll be taught the essential skills every salon looks for in a bather or prep assistant, including:

• Safe handling and restraint

• Professional bathing techniques

• High-velocity drying

• Coat preparation and de-shedding

• Brush-outs and pre-clipping preparation

• Salon hygiene and workflow

• Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment

This course focuses on building speed, confidence and consistency — the exact qualities salon owners expect when hiring.

By the end of the course, you’ll be prepared to step into a paid position as a salon bather or prep assistant groomer, with real experience behind you. Delivered over a 10 day period (flexible days and hours available). On completion, you will receive a certificate along side ongoing support from your tutors and a reference from the Liverpool Dog Grooming Academy CIC for your future employer.
